Centrality of a Minor Character      Minor characters are the spines of every single abstract bit of work. They can have a general influence that can change the advancement of a story. These moment characters can give further understanding into the psyche of the main character(s) through their activities. In the short story â€Å"The Outcasts of Poker Flat†, Uncle Billy is a humble character that adjusts the up and coming occasions looked by different characters. His activities power different characters to utilize an elective method to unravel their situation. One more moment character that has a major effect is the old clock in the short story â€Å"To Build a Fire†. The old clock offers valuable guidance to the man yet glaringly overlooks it. These two minor characters in both of these pieces show that a little and unimportant character can have a gigantic effect on the improvement of the story.      Uncle Billy in â€Å"The Outcasts of Poker Flat† changes the manner in which different characters can take care of their concern. In the story, Uncle Billy takes the donkeys and heads over into Poker Flat leaving different characters abandoned in a blizzard. â€Å"But going to where Uncle Billy had been lying, he discovered him gone. A doubt jumped to his mind and a revile to his lips. He raced to the spot where the donkeys had been fastened: they were no longer there† (Harte 585).
